The fourth class municipality of Llanera, Nueva Ecija headed by Mayor Lorna Mae Balunes – Vero, was adjudged as 2009 TESDA Kabalikat Awardee for Region III and tied with the Office of Speaker Nograles, 1st District of Davao City for the 2009 KABALIKAT AWARD, NATIONAL LEVEL, LGU-CATEGORY.
According to TESDA, this is the first time that a National Kabalikat Award is won by a Municipality and also the first, garnered by Region III.
